Fairy tale-Eden

Once upon a time there was a boy called Luke. He lived with his six sisters, mum and dad. In a small cottage near the city. But on the other side of the city there was a man snatching kids. He would use his long bright green nails to grab by their shirts and pull them in to his old mail man van. Then eat them alive. His name was philly. One day Luke was walking around his village and stumbled across a small crystal he picked it up ZAP! He was invisible could see everything but not himself. He got so freaked out he dropped the crystal and ran. But the philly came and found it. The next day luke tried find the crystal but he couldn’t see it so without telling anyone, he went into the bush to see if the wind pushed it into there. On the way he realised he was lost. But the philly was following him, he knew it was the perfect time to snach him, so he grabbed him by him shirt and boom he was in the old mail man van. Luke had to find a way out so he found the crystal on the bottom of the van and ZAP! He was invisible, he found a way out, so he climbed out. thank goodness he was right outside of his house. They lived happily ever after.

Uniforms- Eden

Do you want to be bullied for what your wearing or how you wear your clothes, well I don’t and I don’t think you do. That’s why we should keep our uniform they why it is. And I’m pretty sure that my and your mum wouldn’t want to buy more clothes just for school. Representing the school important to.

Firstly wearing your own clothes can lead to bullying in school. Being bullied is hard on anyone especially if it’s about what you wear. Bullying people for what they wear can lead to people not being not comfortable in what you are wearing  you could end up not being self confident or even suicidal thoughts.

Secondly if you are wearing your own clothes to school you properly need more clothes that means more washing for your mum or dad. If you want to save money, getting a uniform that might last you a whole two terms or even a year is a good option. If you think about it your saving up to $150 dollars. In my opinion, wearing a uniform is better for everyone.

Thirdly representing the school is good for the school’s reputation. When you go on a school trip people on the streets or in there cars can see what school you came from they might even take their kids to your school. When we go on school trips it’s always good to see my friends or people in my class in there school uniform so I always know where they are.

That’s why I believe that school uniforms should stay with our schools in New Zealand. Just think about it uniforms make everything easier.

Dear Mr President,

I am so sorry for everything, I messed up I can explain. All I wanted was that delicious creamy bagel, he was teasing me it’s not fair. I’m very angry that in a split second I was out in beautiful sun and then in a spy’s suitcase. There were so much buttons what was I supposed to do. There was even a big red button it look like the raspberry jam that goes between a bagel. But as usual I was wrong. I didn’t know it was going to blast jets into the sky. Well anyway that’s my side of the story. I hope you believe me and I wish I could go back and change everything.

your sincerely

sometimes

Sometimes on christmas we have all my family on my dads side at my nana’s house for lunch and pudding. We all gather around the table outside but under the shade so the bright sun doesn’t beaming on us like a laser.

One by one we all grab our food we have green pea’s,juicy chicken, crunchy hash browns and so much more. We talk about the presents and how early we all woke up. Then 3,2,1 POP we all pop are christmas crackers. After are delicious lunch I head into nans house to start organizing the tryful I serve it up and give it to all my cusens. It’s time to we pack up our stuff and head out.

“BYE” I yell to all my family as we drive off “wow that so fun can’t wait to do this next year.”

Gymnastic

Gymnastics

Now and then but not often, mum and I hop in the muddy car that once was white and set of for our long ride to Dunedin. I hang up delicate royal blue and bright pink leotard in the back the car, hoping that none of the glistening gems would slide off. For the trip we take salty chips that taste like they just came out of the sea, fresh crunchy apples and creamy chocolate. Almost there I feel the butterflies start to hatch out of their cocoons, I always dreaded that feeling.

“YAY we’re in Dunedin’’ I whispered to myself as I see all the colourful houses fly by in a merging swirl.

We take a quick pit stop at maccas to get a mouth watering hash brown. As we went through the vermilion red and mustard yellow drive through I got a great big whiff of the crunchy golden hash browns cooking, it was like I was in hashbrown heaven.

Soon after that, I arrived at the gym that I was going to compete at. From the outside it was plain as piece of paper, but I knew the in side was going to be magnificent . WOW I was right there are so many beams, squishy floors and bars that bounce. I sat down on the gross slippery seats “ I hope I don’t get sick from all these germs” I whispered to mum.

“30 MINUTES till comp time, everyone warm up” the lady was yelling at us through the intercom, suddenly all gymnasts from far and wide come running into the room like herd of bulls trying to catch their prey. Everyone started to stretch like elastic, bend like chewing gum and spin like spinning top.

The bell to start rang so loud it pierced a hole right through my head. I run to a secret room where we all line to go my first apparatus. On the walls there were pictures of fierce triggers with classic orange fur and mat black stripes. My team and I get into line hoping that were in the right position. Somehow the floor made my feet feel like they were going to fall off maybe it was just the nerves. As I walk over to the judges table I realize who I was competing against suddenly I say to myself “you’ve got this.”

The golden egg

The golden egg

“3,2,1 run!” the lady yell in the floral dress. I started to sprint my leg were felt like jelly but I had to keep going. I glare at my side all the trees were blurs, suddenly a golden sparkle that stood out, I quickly stopped. As I took 3 steps back the crunchy stones crackle under me like fireworks. I look to my left “nothing there’’ I whispered to myself, I look to my right “ bingo.” The burning sun shone on the the golden egg it almost lit up the hole gardens like a light bulb but at that moment I knew I had won.

Now and then but not often

West coast (haast)
Now and then but not often. We pack our bags and scurry into the sparkly sapphire truck. To keep us full on the thrilling five hour ride

Three hours in we take a quick pit-stop in wanaka to see my cheerful cousens and wonderful aunty. We have a delicious lunch usually we a Jimmys pie or fish and chips that melt in your mouth like chocolate. We drive past waterfalls, the funky trees and sand fly mounten. One thing I hate is the SAND FLYS there little devils that came from hell. Every morning my brother, sister, nana and me and the dogs of course go out for a refreshing swim in the salty beach water. Then we head down to jacksons bay

Let me tell you about…

Let me tell you about the scariest night of my life.

It all started when I was at my friends house for her sleepover party everyth Let me ting was going great we were having a blast. She was showing us her house then she took us to the garage. Suddenly I got a funny feeling like a rock in my stomach and the feeling got greater and bigger I knew something was up.
“ look up” mumbled my friend.
The nerves start to strike me like an electric shock. I slowly lift my chin not knowing what was above me. There were large hand prints scattered in one spot on the roof – I sprinted into the house hoping that it was a prank but I was wrong.

A few hours past, by now it was almost eleven we were not tired one bit. Suddenly that rock appeared in my stomach once more I turned my head to talk to my friends
“Omg did you see that”
I knew she wasn’t joking with the tone she was using.
“ No” I answer “what happened?”
“Somehow the squishy had moved from behind the couch to onto the couch and I promise it wasn’t me” she told me.

Since I was the brave one I walked and looked behind the couch. How could anyone fit behind there I thought to myself. There was only one other option. Scared for my life I got to sleep but woke up at 1:00am to the sound of footprints. Just thinking that is was her dad I fell back to sleep in a instant. Once again I woke but not from the footprints but from the sound of her brother saying “go away go away”.
I didn’t think anything of it but at that point it was 6:00 am so I decided just to stay up and wait for every one to wake up and tell them about what happened in the night. BY EDEN
